Brabus Bodo

DRIVEN BY LEGACY

Every great automotive story begins with a vision. For BRABUS, that vision belonged to Bodo Buschmann, a man who believed that boundaries existed to be challenged and that true automotive excellence should never settle for ordinary.

In 1977, in Bottrop at the heart of Germany’s Ruhr region, Bodo transformed his passion for automobiles into an ambition that would become one of the world's most recognised names in high-performance luxury motoring. What began as an idea developed into a lifelong pursuit of innovation, individuality and engineering excellence.

For more than four decades, Bodo shaped the character of BRABUS, continually challenging his team to push further and redefine what was possible. To him, a car was never simply a means of transportation. It was an expression of identity, ambition and character. His philosophy continues to influence BRABUS today, with his legacy reflected in every vehicle bearing the name.

One vision, however, remained unfinished.

One car was yet to be created.

Design & Exterior. BORN FROM PASSION.

The BRABUS BODO brings Bodo Buschmann’s vision of a bold, sophisticated Gran Turismo coupe to life. Inspired by the golden age of automotive design and reimagined through modern BRABUS engineering, production is limited to just 77 examples worldwide, with only 10 to 15 vehicles produced annually.

Developed using advanced CAD technology, the BODO combines dramatic styling with sophisticated aerodynamics engineered around its 360 km/h (223 mph) top speed. Beneath its lightweight carbon fibre body lies a hand built 5.2-litre V12 biturbo engine producing an extraordinary 1,000 hp and 1,200 Nm of torque.

Distinctive LED matrix headlights, a 13-slat BRABUS grille and integrated RAM-AIR ducts define the front, while the low 130-centimetre profile creates a striking silhouette. At the rear, a composite diffuser, titanium 3D-printed exhaust outlets and adaptive two stage spoiler enhance both performance and visual presence. The iconic “77” emblem pays tribute to 1977, the year Bodo Buschmann founded BRABUS.

Interior. UNDENIABLE BRABUS.

The BRABUS BODO’s Masterpiece interior is handcrafted in house, combining luxurious comfort with a focused, driver-oriented character. Complementing the “Piano Black” exterior, the cabin features smooth black leather and contrasting nubuck leather, enhanced by carbon fibre detailing across the steering wheel, dashboard, centre console and doors. Gloss finished BRABUS “Shadow Gray” accents add a contemporary touch.

Stainless steel BRABUS entry panels and Bodo Buschmann’s embroidered signature provide bespoke detailing, while sculpted seats deliver exceptional comfort and lateral support. The rear seats continue the premium specification with full leather upholstery, BRABUS “Shell” quilting, embossed “Double-B” logos and Masterpiece plaques. Matching quilting extends across the cockpit floor, luggage compartment and mats.

A leather and Nubuck flat bottom steering wheel, carbon-fibre pedals and matching footrest complete the sporting cockpit. Each BODO also includes leather-wrapped keys and a bespoke BRABUS “Weekender” bag. A blockchain based Digital Product Passport provides verified information on authenticity, ownership and specification.

Power & Sound. GRAN TURISMO.

At the heart of the BRABUS BODO sits a hand built 5.2-litre V12 biturbo engine, engineered to deliver extraordinary performance while maintaining the character expected from a flagship Gran Turismo. The sophisticated powerplant features optimised four valve cylinder heads, advanced fuel injection and the BRABUS high-performance turbo system, incorporating a RAM-AIR airbox, highly efficient intercooling and two specially developed turbochargers.

Producing an impressive 735 kW / 1,000 hp at 6,400 rpm and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque between 2,900 and 5,000 rpm, the BODO delivers its power exclusively through the rear wheels. An eight-speed automatic transmission can be controlled manually via carbon fibre BRABUS paddle shifters, while an electronically controlled differential manages traction between the driven wheels.

Performance is exceptional, with 0–100 km/h (62 mph) taking just 3.0 seconds, 0–200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.5 seconds and 0–300 km/h (186 mph) in 23.9 seconds. The BODO continues accelerating until its electronically limited top speed of 360 km/h (223 mph).

Wheels & Chassis. EFFORTLESS.

The BRABUS BODO’s low, wide stance is enhanced by 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z-GT “Shadow Edition” forged wheels, combining striking design with performance focused engineering. At the front, 9.5Jx21 wheels are fitted with 275/35 ZR 21 Continental SportContact 7 Force high-performance tyres developed specifically for the BODO. The rear features wider 11.5Jx21 wheels with 325/30 ZR 21 tyres, providing exceptional traction and stability through high speed corners.

Manufactured using advanced forging and CNC-machining technology, the wheels feature 20 intricate concave spokes and a centre-lock-style hub cover. Their lightweight construction reduces unsprung mass, contributing to sharper handling and a more agile driving experience, while the signature black finish completes their distinctive appearance.

The sophisticated chassis combines double wishbone front suspension with a multi-link rear axle and offers five selectable driving modes, ranging from comfort focused road driving to a firmer performance setting. A front and rear lift system can raise the vehicle by approximately 25 mm (0.9 in.), automatically returning to its standard ride height once 45 km/h (28 mph) is reached.
