Brabus 750 Bodo Buschmann

LEGENDS NEVER DIE.

Return to 1996. The legendary BRABUS 7.3S, based on the Mercedes-Benz 600 SL, takes to the German Autobahn for its first official road test. With BRABUS founder Bodo Buschmann behind the wheel and the bonnet deliberately left back at BRABUS headquarters, the moment became one of the most memorable images in BRABUS history, perfectly capturing the passion, individuality and performance that have defined the brand ever since.

Today, that story continues with the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition. Created exactly as Bodo Buschmann himself would have envisioned it, this exclusive super roadster combines modern innovation, immense performance and extraordinary attention to detail with unmistakable BRABUS heritage.

Based on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63, the BRABUS 750 is more than a tribute. It is a contemporary interpretation of a car, a philosophy and a legacy fundamental to the origins of BRABUS. Production is strictly limited to just 25 vehicles worldwide.

The legend returns – because legends never die.

Design & Exterior. BACK TO THE FUTURE.

Elegance, functionality and uncompromising performance were fundamental to Bodo Buschmann’s philosophy, and each of these principles is reflected throughout the design of the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition.

At the front, a collection of signature BRABUS carbon fibre components create the roadster’s distinctive appearance. These include bespoke BRABUS front fascia inserts, a BRABUS radiator grille and an aerodynamically developed BRABUS front spoiler. Beyond its striking appearance, the spoiler significantly reduces front axle lift at higher speeds, improving stability and confidence.

Along the sides, carbon fibre attachments on the front fenders provide further sporting detail and incorporate distinctive BRABUS branding.

The rear continues the understated yet performance focused design philosophy. A subtle carbon fibre spoiler attachment works alongside the bespoke carbon fibre rear diffuser, adding definition while improving the roadster’s sporting character.

Integrated perfectly within the diffuser are the four tailpipes of the BRABUS high-performance exhaust system, completing the unmistakable black and bold appearance and giving the BRABUS 750 a refined yet undeniably powerful presence from every angle.

Interior. THE BRABUS ENCORE.

Few things reflected Bodo Buschmann’s personal automotive taste more strongly than an all black specification. More than four decades later, this timeless monochrome philosophy remains an essential part of BRABUS design DNA. For the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition, the interior therefore follows one uncompromising theme, black on black.

Handcrafted by highly skilled BRABUS upholstery specialists, the complete BRABUS Masterpiece interior is finished in exceptionally soft, breathable leather. The bespoke upholstery extends throughout the cabin, covering the seats, door panels, footwells and specially made BRABUS floor mats.

Precise black stitching and matching piping complement the distinctive BRABUS “R-Sport” quilting pattern, one of Bodo Buschmann’s personal favourite designs.

Further heritage detailing pays tribute to the beginnings of BRABUS. The exclusive BRABUS “Heritage” pattern, incorporating embossed “77” signets, appears across selected areas including the seat side bolsters, centre console sides and sun visors, commemorating 1977, the year BRABUS was founded.

To complement the handcrafted leather, carefully selected high-gloss carbon fibre elements are incorporated throughout the centre console, door panels and steering wheel, adding a modern performance inspired contrast while preserving the elegant character of this highly exclusive tribute to the BRABUS founder.

Power & Sound. LIVE THE LEGEND.

The BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition combines the spirit of a BRABUS legend with state-of-the-art performance engineering. Beneath the bonnet is a 4.0-litre V8 engine equipped with two specially developed BRABUS high-performance turbochargers, transforming the two door super roadster into an exceptionally capable high-performance machine.

From a standstill, the BRABUS 750 accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Maximum speed is electronically limited to an impressive 315 km/h, protecting the high-performance Continental SportContact 7 tyres.

An immense 900 Nm of torque is delivered through the nine-speed automatic transmission, providing instant response throughout the rev range. Gear changes can be handled automatically or controlled manually using the paddle shifters mounted behind the steering wheel, giving the driver complete freedom over the character of the experience.

The specially developed BRABUS high-performance exhaust system features active valve control, allowing its soundtrack to be adapted to every occasion. Select the discreet “Coming Home” setting for a restrained V8 note or switch to “Sport” mode to release the roadster’s full acoustic character.

Four signature tailpipes provide another unmistakable BRABUS visual highlight, while the precisely engineered exhaust system significantly reduces backpressure to further optimise power delivery.

Wheels & Chassis. EVOLUTION.

Drawing inspiration from one of the most recognisable BRABUS wheel designs of the late 1980s, the BRABUS 750 Bodo Buschmann Edition is equipped with 21 and 22-inch BRABUS Monoblock II Evo “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels.

Their unmistakable three-spoke design represents a modern evolution of the original BRABUS Monoblock II, combining classic BRABUS heritage with contemporary production technology. Manufactured using advanced forging techniques and precision CNC machining, the wheels deliver an exceptional balance of low weight, high structural strength and dynamic performance.

An elegant polished “Shadow Chrome” finish gives the design its distinctive appearance. Just as with the legendary BRABUS 7.3S, the open three spoke construction provides a clear view of the BRABUS brake calipers and powerful carbon-ceramic braking system behind.

Specially developed BRABUS sports springs complement the wheel and tyre combination and allow the vehicle’s ride height to be lowered by up to 25 millimetres. The resulting lower centre of gravity sharpens handling and driving dynamics while giving the roadster an even more purposeful stance.
