Transforming the BRABUS 800 into an exclusive open top Masterpiece required extensive development using advanced CAD and simulation technology. High strength steel reinforcement ensures torsional rigidity comparable with the closed Mercedes-AMG G63, while retaining the unmistakable proportions and character of the original G-Class silhouette.

At the centre of the conversion is a highly sophisticated two piece soft top system, consisting of more than 500 specially developed components engineered and tested to OEM standards. Operated electronically at the touch of a button, the roof can be fully opened or closed in just 20 seconds and incorporates a heated safety glass rear window.

A world first carbon fibre surface bow integrated into the front roof section maintains the shape and stability of the soft top while helping to minimise wind noise at higher speeds. Towards the rear, the roof flows cleanly into the body integrated “C-BOW” steel roll bar, enhanced with exposed carbon fibre detailing. The rear roof section folds automatically behind the rear seats, where a bespoke tonneau cover can protect the folded roof during extended open top driving.

High gloss exposed carbon fibre defines the exterior. The BRABUS WIDESTAR front fascia features enlarged air intakes and an integrated front spoiler, complemented by a carbon fibre radiator grille surround and the signature BRABUS Powerdome.

From the side, exposed carbon fibre mirror caps and illuminated WIDESTAR fenders emphasise the muscular proportions, while integrated lighting illuminates the running boards when the vehicle is unlocked.

At the rear, a completely bespoke tailgate developed specifically for the BRABUS 800 CABRIO features an exposed carbon fibre insert with recessed BRABUS lettering. A full carbon fibre rear fascia integrates seamlessly with the widened WIDESTAR fenders, completing the unmistakable appearance of this open top G-Class.

Interior. ATELIER FUSION.

The cabin of the BRABUS 800 CABRIO is a completely bespoke BRABUS Masterpiece interior, developed specifically to complement the exclusive character of this open top supercar. Handcrafted by BRABUS upholstery specialists, the interior combines the finest “Oxford Sand” and “Cairos Brown” leather, creating an elegant contrast to the exterior while showcasing exceptional craftsmanship throughout.

Designed specifically with open-air driving in mind, the headrests incorporate integrated Airscarf systems, directing warm air around the heads and necks of the occupants to provide greater comfort when driving with the roof lowered.

Signature BRABUS “Shell” quilting is executed with exceptional precision across the door panels and leather-trimmed floor sections. The centre sections of the seats feature carefully positioned perforations to optimise seat ventilation, while embossed BRABUS “Double-B” emblems provide further unmistakable Masterpiece detailing.

High grade exposed carbon fibre introduces a more sporting character throughout the cabin. It is used for the illuminated entry panels, selected cockpit trim components and BRABUS pedal pads, creating a distinctive contrast with the handcrafted leather upholstery.

Further exclusive details include anodised door lock pins and specially developed BRABUS Easy-Entry hinges. Their unique construction allows the rear doors to open to an angle of up to 90 degrees, significantly improving access to the rear passenger compartment and completing the combination of craftsmanship, luxury and everyday functionality that defines the BRABUS 800 CABRIO.

Power & Sound. BORN ICONIC.

True to BRABUS tradition, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO delivers performance worthy of its name. Beneath the bonnet sits a specially developed 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, producing an impressive 588 kW / 800 hp and a maximum torque output of 1,000 Nm (737 lb-ft).

Two high-performance BRABUS turbochargers provide the additional performance, while power is transferred to all four wheels through the SPEEDSHIFT TCT nine-speed transmission. Gear changes can be left fully automatic or controlled manually using the carbon fibre BRABUS paddle shifters positioned behind the steering wheel.

Despite its imposing proportions and open top construction, the BRABUS 800 CABRIO accelerates from 0–100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.0 seconds. Maximum speed is electronically limited to 240 km/h (149 mph). High performance lubricants for the engine and drivetrain are supplied by BRABUS technology partner MOTUL.

The BRABUS sports exhaust system adds the soundtrack to match, with active valve control allowing the driver to adjust the character of the V8. A more restrained exhaust note is available for discreet driving, while the alternative setting releases a considerably more powerful and emotional V8 sound.

The exhaust also forms a distinctive part of the exterior design. Two stainless steel tailpipes are positioned on each side of the vehicle ahead of the rear Monoblock wheels, surrounded by exposed carbon fibre trim incorporating red ambient lighting for another unmistakable BRABUS signature.

Wheels & Suspension. BUILT INDIVIDUAL.

The exclusive proportions of the BRABUS 800 CABRIO are further enhanced by the combination of the aggressive BRABUS WIDESTAR widebody concept and imposing 24-inch BRABUS Monoblock ZM “PLATINUM EDITION” forged wheels. Together, they create the instant BRABUS “1-Second-Wow” effect from every angle.

Manufactured using advanced forging and precision CNC machining technology, the Monoblock ZM wheels feature an intricate disc style design engineered to combine exceptional strength with unmistakable BRABUS character.

The front axle is equipped with 10Jx24 wheels fitted with specially developed 295/30 ZR 24 Hankook Ventus S1 evo ZX high-performance tyres, while substantial 12Jx24 wheels at the rear are paired with 345/25 ZR 24 tyres.

Perfectly calibrated to complement the wheel and tyre combination, BRABUS height-adjustable sport springs provide continuously variable lowering between 20 and 40 millimetres (0.8–1.6 in). The result is a lower, more purposeful stance together with sharper responses and a more direct, dynamic driving experience.
